mixMotion celebrated a hot Canada Day 2010 by VJ’ing at the annual Guvernment/Koolhaus throwdown. Plenty of big names were out in force as Congorock, JFK of MSTRKRFT, Benny Benassi and Deadmau5 took over the venue along with a host of others. mixMotion was in the main room, providing visuals and getting into the spirit of the event.

mixMotion Visuals at Canadian Music Fest 2010

mixMotion designed and created custom motion graphic visuals for Molson Canadian at the 2010 Canadian Music Week music festival. Molson asked us to combine music-related and Canadian inspired imagery in a nightlife aesthetic to convey their key brand messages.

We provided a full service solution, which included: art direction, storyboard design, VJ remix, editing and production.

Our visuals were on display at over 70 venues across Toronto during the four day event, which featured over 700 Canadian and international performing artists.

Jose Cuervo Silver – National Launch

mixMotion designed and created custom motion graphic visuals for the launch of Jose Cuervo Silver tequila in Canada. Our challenge was to take the concept of “silver luxury” and create a well polished video that reflected the core brand messages for their exciting promotional events. We provided a full service solution, which included: art direction, storyboard design, custom 3D animations, VJ remix, editing and production.

Our custom motion graphic visuals were played at Jose Cuervo Silver events all across Canada. Watch the video to see a snippet of the final product.

Smirnoff Experience with Paul Oakenfold

mixMotion created custom video content and our VJ’s performed for the Smirnoff Experience Toronto 2010 featuring Paul Oakenfold.

Smirnoff needed their imagery on the screens in a way that reflected the spirit of the party theme Warehouse Invasion. mixMotion created custom logo treatments and put together a package of material for the live VJ set. We also provided creative and technical consulting for the night.

The event was a huge success, as patrons filled the Guvernment nightclub in Toronto to party with Paul Oakenfold and resident opener Mark Oliver.

mixMotion was brought in by Heineken Music Canada to provide a custom visual mix for their VIP area as well as to document the event for them. We also created custom ‘Text To Win’ screens that were projected on all screens and on-stage during the night, wherein concertgoers could send their texts in to win access to the VIP area. The highly anticipated, sold out Tiesto show packed Arrow Hall to capacity and was a huge success! Watch the video below!

mixMotion Visuals at 2009 CASBY Awards

mixMotion created custom visuals for the 2009 CASBY Awards for Molson Canadian, which featured performances by Metric, The Stills, The Arkells and Matthew Good.

The CASBYs are the annual music awards presented by Toronto radio station 102.1 The Edge, and stands for Canadian Artists Selected By You. mixMotion worked with Molson to create custom motion graphic visuals that exemplified the spirit of music in Canada, with an emphasis on the city of Toronto and the core brand message of Molson Canadian. We also designed and created motion graphics displaying Molson’s Text-To-Win messages, which offered audience members a chance to win prizes during the event by using their mobile phones. We were at the event mixing the visuals live on two large screens on both sides of the stage, as well as in the Molson VIP area.
