mixMotion created an immersive and architectural visual experience for a Cuban inspired concert for Havana Club in Toronto. The concert featured renowned UK Producer/DJ Gilles Peterson along with Roberto Fonseca, Danay and many other incredible Cuban artists. The event was the showcase finale for Havana Cultura, a  yearly week-long festival and celebration of Cuban music and culture. [More]

We recently completed the Smirnoff Experience party featuring T.O.’s own Deadmau5. The VIP industry party had a graphic novel theme and was entitled “Graphic”. The environment featured a comic book style narrative that followed guests from the street entrance into the party upstairs and reflected thier unfolding story throughout the night.

mixMotion’s contributions began from creative concept designs to final production. We created and projected custom animated comic panels for the large warehouse style windows. A custom designed projection screen was created in the style of a comic book panel for the DJ booth. Special lighting was designed to create the illusion of comic book shading on the guests and the enviroment.

Plenty of big names were out in force as Congorock, JFK of MSTRKRFT, Benny Benassi and Deadmau5 took over the venue along with a host of others. mixMotion was in the main room, providing visuals and getting into the spirit of the event. mixMotion designed and created custom motion graphic visuals for Molson Canadian at the 2010 Canadian Music Week music festival. Molson asked us to combine music-related and Canadian inspired imagery in a nightlife aesthetic to convey their key brand messages.

We provided a full service solution, which included: art direction, storyboard design, VJ remix, editing and production.
